  • Laurence (Larry) Iffla is a former partner of Mallesons Stephen Jaques (now King & Wood Mallesons) Perth office with over 30 years experience in commercial property and development matters, stamp & transfer duty and other property related tax advice, as well as personal estate planning for select clients. He also works in corporate and commercial law, particularly involving the structuring of business and property acquisitions.

    Larry was identified as a preeminent lawyer in Doyle’s Guide to the Legal Profession – Leading Property & Real Estate Lawyers WA in 2011.

  • Jeremy Wade specialises in telecommunications, mergers and acquisitions and intellectual technology and is a former partner in Mallesons Stephen Jaques (now King & Wood Mallesons) where he was head of Mallesons’ Indonesian practice. He spent three years working in Jakarta, primarily on infrastructure projects, mining projects and inbound foreign investment to Indonesia. Jeremy was identified by Asialaw Leading Lawyers in 2006 and 2007 as one of Australia’s leading M&A lawyers.

  • Alec MacGill specialises in the fields of communications, information and technology, procurement, transactional and project work in Australia and Asia. Alec is a former Special Counsel in Freehills (now Herbert Smith Freehills) and was previously Senior Associate at Mallesons Stephen Jaques (now King & Wood Mallesons). Alec has worked closely with both customers and suppliers, particularly in relation to telecommunications, operational and procurement contracting. Alec has worked closely with national and international in-house legal teams and their internal clients to assist them in their work and achieving organisational goals within their governance framework.

  • Jonathon (Jon) Carson works principally in the areas of energy and resources. He specialises in the legal aspects of developing energy and mining projects but also advises in all areas of the upstream and downstream energy and mining industries, including sale and purchase transactions and regulatory compliance. Jon’s clients include Government utilities, listed mining and petroleum companies and private equity companies. Jon also focuses on hedging financial, and commodity price, risk. Jon was most recently the Senior Partner in Perth of the global law firm, Clifford Chance and before that was a partner of Blake Dawson and Jackson McDonald. Jon joined Iffla Wade as a partner in October 2017 after retiring from Clifford Chance in May 2017. Jon is listed in a number of legal directories, including Chambers, Legal 500 and Best Lawyers, as a leading individual in his areas of practice.

    Sarah Harlock joined Iffla Wade in March 2019, after being a special counsel at King & Wood Mallesons (formerly Mallesons Stephen Jaques). Sarah has over 19 years experience in commercial property, including property acquisitions and disposals, development agreements, joint ventures, long term and retail leasing, and providing advice on property issues. Sarah Harlock has been named in the 7th, 8th, 9th, 10th and 11th editions (for 2015 to 2019) of The Best Lawyers in Australia for Real Property Law and is listed as a Notable Practitioner in the area of Real Estate acquisitions by IFLR 1000 (2019).
